Hon. Majok Anhiem Dhal is the best and most successful Minister of Finance in Lakes State History

Lakes State for the first time since its establishment in 1994 have recently undergone a number of changes ranging from security stability, social service delivery and  infrastructural improvement under the government of peace loving Governor General Rin Tueny Mabor.  The state minister of finance Cde Majok Anhiem Dhal, with the directives from the peace loving governor Gen. Rin Tueny, have managed to accomplish visible and tangible achievements in the ministry of finance and Lakes State in general.

Upon his appointment as state minister of finance by Gov. Rin Tueny, Cde Majok Anhiem Dhal worked tirelessly to make sure that the constitutional mandate of the State Ministry of finance is fulfilled. Cde Majok Anhiem with advice from his boss Gen. Rin, managed to accomplish several achievements in Lakes State and all these achievements can be acknowledged by any reasonable citizen in Lakes State. Below are the visible achievements of Cde Majok Anhiem Dhal in the Ministry of Finance and Lake States in particular. 

1. Renovation of standing specialised offices with furniture in Lakes State Parliament:

As a patriotic SPLM cadre, Cde Majok Anhiem released funds for the renovation and furnishing of the offices of the standing specialised committees in Lakes State Parliament. The offices of the standing specialised Committees in Lakes State Parliament are currently furnished with different types of furniture at the time of writing this article. In addition, the members of Parliament of lakes State Legislative Assembly are carrying out their weekly or daily sittings in a comfortable and beautiful environment since the Parliament is fully renovated and power is available 24/7.

2. Harmonisation of Revenue Authority staffs:

The Lakes State minister of finance Cde Majok Anhiem has succeeded in harmonising the Revenue Authority staffs of three defunct states ( Gok, Western and Eastern Lakes States) into one reconstituted Lakes State. He achieved this task by making sure that the staff of revenue authority are unified into one workforce and payroll. 

3. Completion of strategic development plan 2021_2024:

 Cde Majok Anhiem has tirelessly worked hard to complete Lakes State Strategic Development Plan 2021_2024. The strategic development plan of 2021_2024 was successfully completed and it's implementation has already started. Lakes State Government under the leadership of Gen. Rin Tueny is fully committed to implement this Strategic Development Plan.

4. Renovation of SPLM State Secretariat and Youth league offices:

As a true and hardworking member of SPLM, Cde Majok Anhiem Dhal in his capacity as state minister of finance released the budget for the renovation of State SPLM secretariat and Youth league offices. The renovation of the SPLM State secretariat and Youth league offices was done in a short time through the efforts of the minister of finance Cde Majok Anhiem. The SPLM secretariat and Youth league offices were both renovated and furnished with  different types of luxurious furniture. 

5. Renovation of Lakes State Secretariat General:

The Lakes State Minister of finance Cde Majok Anhiem with directives from the Hardworking Governor Gen. Rin Tueny, initiated the renovation of Secretariat General. The renovation work at the State Secretariat is currently at completion stage. By October this year, Lake State Secretariat General will be fully renovated and refurbished with new furniture. 

6. Training of 50 Revenue officers on public financial management (PFM):

Another achievement of Cde Majok Anhiem in the ministry of finance, is the training of fifty state revenue officers on public financial management. The aim of the training was to equip the state Revenue officers with excellent knowledge and skills in public financial management. Other tangible achievements of Cde Majok Anhiem are the harmonisation of executive and legislature emoluments and renovation of the ministry of Finance director's offices

In Conclusion, I am calling upon the entire citizens of Lakes State to support and rally behind Governor Rin Tueny in order to enable him and his government deliver social services and maintain permanent security stability in the State. Gen. Rin Tueny and his executives particularly the minister of finance Cde Majok Anhiem are working day and night to make sure that SPLM policy of taking services closer to the people is implemented.
