I deliberately provoked the debate that has unexpectedly turned out to be spiteful. I appreciate all that has been said but unfortunately it seems many of you wanted to put words into my mouth so to say or perhaps tried to read what I wrote with tinted political lenses.

وجود الآخر والتعايش معه والاستعداد للانفتاح عليه والتفاهم أو التعاون أو مجرد التحاور السلمي معه. وإذا كان الانحدار إلى مثل تلك الهاوية الفكرية والحضارية المقززة من فرط تطرفها ولاإنسانيتها أمراً مؤسفاً في كل الأحوال وبالنسبة إلى جميع من ينتسبون إلى جنس البشر المفترض فيه العقل والتمييز والترفع عن كثير من الغرائز البدائية.

It is always better to research into matters before reaching uninformed conclusion. Dr. Peter Adwok Otto’s piece smacks of political bad faith. As a lecturer in the faculty of medicine, Upper Nile University, and one time its Dean, he should have known better about administrative matter before using them as instruments for political mileage i.e. for agitation and/or incitement.

The amalgamated committee from upper Nile State that invited the SPLM-DC to participate in the up-coming state conference in Malakal to discuss the issues concerning the state, is a step in the right direction in resolving the problems.

Dr. Lam Akol Ajawin Chairman of SPLM-DC received in his office this morning an Official delegation that delivered an invitation letter from the Government of Upper Nile State.

The recent ministerial decree of the minister of higher education and scientific research by barring out the southern universities from intake is off the mark. Someone has to reverse it and fast.

JUBA, August 2010 - The Government of Southern Sudan (GOSS) through the then ministry of Presidential Affairs, now Office of the President, has developed a "Vision 2040" document to harness the resources and efforts of the government to transform Southern Sudan into a modern nation.Titled "South Sudan Vision 2040: Towards freedom, equality, justice, peace and prosperity for all", the vision was adopted by the GOSS Council of Ministers on January 15, 2010.
